About the Course
4-Week Narrative Writing Workshop: Finding Your Voice and Writing Toward the “Thing”
This immersive, instructor-led writing program is designed for emerging and established writers who want to move beyond overthinking and into embodied, confident storytelling.
This 4-week narrative writing workshop helps you develop a sustainable writing practice, access emotional truth for the page, and build strong narrative structure through guided instruction and live feedback. Whether you are working on a memoir, personal essay, or long-form storytelling project, this course is designed to help you write with clarity, depth, and authority.
For writers struggling with writer’s block, self-doubt, or lack of structure, this program focuses on rebuilding your creative confidence and strengthening your “writing muscle”. You will learn how to bypass self-censorship, trust your voice, and generate meaningful work.
What You Will Learn
Across four weekly sessions, this 4-week writing workshop explores the core pillars of narrative craft:
Process: memory activation, truth access, writing rituals, and time-blocking for consistency
Structure: story arc development, narrative architecture, and shaping raw material into story-ready prose
Voice & Craft: dialogue, scene building, point of view, and voice
Character & Perspective: developing layered characters and learning to express various vantage points
Each class includes instruction, reading and discussion, in-class writing exercises, structured feedback, and take-home prompts designed to extend your practice beyond the workshop. During weeks 3 and 4, participants may optionally share and workshop longer-form writing, including manuscript excerpts, in a supportive and structured peer environment.
